We're Hard Podcast Show

Relationships don’t remain the same over time, which might be scary for some people but reveals how incredible love is. From the first phase to the last, there are ample stages you will see as you walk through life with your loved one.

The First Stage: The Honeymoon

The first stage of any relationship is the honeymoon phase. This is the very beginning, where there is typically a feeling of euphoria and excitement as two lovebirds embark on the adventure for the very first time. Love is easy as hormones surge, and the individuals overlook any flaws in each other and experience intense attraction toward one another.

The Second Stage: Foundation Built

Once the honeymoon stage has gone by, it’s time for the couple to build a foundation together. The individuals might start to see flaws in the other person, which allows the perfect opportunity to go through healthy conflict to create trust, learn how to communicate and grow closer together to create a foundation that will lead their relationship to success.

The Third Stage: Commitment

If the couples successfully navigate the foundation stage, they will move into the commitment area of their time together. The passion of the early years might not be there, but there is a deep sense of love. At this point, the couple begins to envision a future and might even make a deeper commitment to each other.

The Fourth Stage: Serious Challenges

After the commitment stage comes the hardest part of the relationship. With more time spent together, couples will encounter serious troubles. For instance, there could be issues with finances, long hours at work, and even family struggles. Also, each person is growing and changing in character. Couples must adapt and communicate, or they will fail.

The Fifth Stage: Deeper Love

Once through the phase of serious challenge, the couple is ready to emerge into a love that is deeper than ever. They have done life together and have seen some of the hardest things together. They are comfortable together, share whatever they want, care about the needs of the other, and know how to deal with conflict effectively.
