We often focus on our jobs because that’s how we pay for our necessities and other things such as rent and utilities. We also focus on this aspect in order to reach that goal such as a promotion thinking that it will give us a sense of purpose and personal growth. We tend to forget that other factors are important to our overall health.
What is work-life balance?
Work-life balance is defined as the ability to take care of both your professional and personal life at the same time. Working long hours not only will affect your personal life but also your health. It increases your stress levels which makes work not safe for you.
Finding time for yourself such as pursuing leisure activities outside of work, socializing, and spending quality time with family can have a very good impact on your overall well-being.
