Erectile dysfunction is a problem for many men, interrupting sex lives and causing mental distress. Many individuals want to avoid medication if possible. While natural remedies aren’t approved by the FDA, there are many options available that might work.

Why Attempt Natural Remedies?

Many are hesitant to ingest synthetic drugs. While FDA-approved selections are safe and typically proven to work, they often require a trip to the doctor and a trust in medication you know nothing about.

Natural remedies are a cleaner and self-focused approach to an issue. For erectile dysfunction, it might be less stressful to use natural remedies at first.

Which Natural Might Remedies Work?

None of these natural remedies have been approved by the FDA, primarily because no professional body governs and keeps them stable. Always take caution when using natural remedies, and never exceed the recommended dosage.

Here are some of the most common natural remedies for erectile dysfunction:

  • Ginseng: Ginseng works to relax the smooth muscles in the body, which can lead to an erection. Common side effects include insomnia and headaches.
  • Ginkgo: Ginkgo could draw blood to the lower regions, leading to an erection. Side effects include stomachaches, dizziness, palpitations, and constipation.
  • L-arginine: This item is an amino acid and could open blood vessels, bringing better blood flow to the penis. Side effects include stomach cramps and low blood sugar levels.
  • Propionyl-L-carnitine: This item could improve erectile dysfunction when taken with sildenafil. Side effects include skin rashes, nausea, diarrhea, and more.
  • Yohimbine: African tree bark includes Yohimbine, which is a natural aphrodisiac. However, it can have side effects like heart attack, seizures, and stomach problems.
  • Horny goat weed: Horny goat weed is a traditional erectile dysfunction assistant, especially if caused by nerve injuries. Side effects could include stomach aches and nausea.

Which Lifestyle Changes Work?

If you’re nervous about taking natural supplements, consider lifestyle changes as a natural curing method. Add more exercise, eat healthier, lower stress, and cut smoking and drinking.
