Tips for Improving Oral Hygiene
1. Brush and Floss Twice a Day
One of the simplest things you can do is brush and floss your teeth at least twice daily. Ideally, individuals should brush and floss after every meal to avoid providing bacteria a chance to build up on the teeth. This tactic is particularly true if you have soda or coffee that stains the teeth.
When you floss and brush often, you remove food and bacteria from your teeth and stop plaque from fixing itself to your teeth. Without brushing, you could experience gum disease, cavities, and terrible breath.
2. Visit the Dentist Often
Keep up with regular dental visits to ensure you’re caring for your teeth. A dentist will catch things early, such as a forming cavity. They can advise you on preventative care and determine how to deal with the issue before it spirals out of control. Try at least two visits a year.
3. Avoid Smoking and Eat Well
Finally, stop smoking and eat well. Smoke rots your teeth, and so does a bad diet. Ensure you have a complete diet of protein, grains, and plenty of veggies, many of which have natural fluoride.
