Amber and Kim debunk sex myths

Have you ever heard those weird “facts” about sex, like the “pull-out method” is safe and works every time? We’re going to answer these questions for you and debunk these sex myths!

We hear that oral sex is safe sex. This is not true! Although you cannot get pregnant from oral sex you can still get an STI. So, if you’re performing it or the performer make sure you know your partner or use protection. Another common sex myth is that you can tell if someone has an STI. This is false! There are not always symptoms. So again, be safe and use protection.

Condoms mean safe sex, right? Not true! They break and you can get pregnant or STIs can occur. The Moral of the story is do not solely rely on condoms as protection during sex.

The next myth is that the pull-out method is safe. Come on, we all know the answer is that this doesn’t always work. Pre-cum and STIs are still possible.

Here’s a good one! We all wonder how many calories sex burns, because it can seem like were exerting a lot of effort. The truth is that 30 min of sex only burns 85-150 calories.  So, you’ll need to have a lot of sex if to burn 3,500 calories, or about a pound of body fat.

I’ve heard that there is a 10-year difference between men’s and women’s sexual peak, but guess what? That’s not true! Hormone levels in men peak at 18yo and women in mid 20s.

Do men really think about sex every 7 seconds. The answer is no. The average man thinks about sex 19 times a day and guess what ladies we think about it 10 times!

The next myth we debunked is that women always orgasm with penetrative sex. The truth is only 18% can orgasm with penetrative sex alone, 37% need clitoral stimulation. So, guys take note, give that clit some love!

Here’s an interesting tidbit. Sex has little to do with athletic performance and may actually enhance it. So next time you’ve got a game or race maybe try some lovin’ before to help you go the extra distance.

Does Having sex cause a pregnant woman to go into labor? Studies say it doesn’t go hand in hand and may even delay labor!

This one is interesting to me because I have heard conflicting points of view. The myth is that women take longer to get turned on than men. The studies show that there is no difference in the time it takes men and women to reach peak arousal, but we beg to differ…

Here’s one we have never heard of. Crazy events cause a baby boom nine months later (like the pandemic), but 9 months after pandemic there were 18 fewer births/month than the year before. So, I guess pandemic babies weren’t a thing.

Ok I have heard that there’s no such thing as too much masturbation, but people who masturbate multiple times a day find it difficult or even impossible to orgasm with a real-life partner. So, ladies and gents give those hands or vibrators a break and opt in for the real thing.

Another Myth is, do women like to watch the man cum?  Well, not all of them do, but yes there are some ladies who enjoy watching their man pleasure himself and may even join in.  We’ve even heard some men like to pull out as a sign of respect for the female.  We wonder if that’s true? We would say that’s a good rule if they’re on their way out for dinner or some function.  If the man is backed up and has a big ejaculate, you may want to ask him to pull out otherwise you’re putting on your stretchy pants and making multiple bathroom trips.

Our last myth is that a woman’s vagina can reveal how many partners she’s had, when vaginas can temporarily stretch, they don’t stay stretched out. So, if he’s big and your walking funny the next day, rest assured everything will go back to normal. So, relax, enjoy yourselves, use protection and remember not all those sex “facts’ are actually facts!
