We're Hard Podcast Show

It’s always important to feel your best. Staying active, eating healthy and being confident can help you look great while feeling great! But what if you need a little more help? We’re going to talk about cosmetic procedures and how to choose what is best for you.

It’s astonishing that 90% of cosmetic procedures are done on females, making us the key demographic for plastic surgeries. The most popular plastic surgery procedures being breast augmentation, with 300 thousand procedures a year. Lippo, facial implants and buttock lifts come in at a close second.

It sounds like the Kardashian family. On any given week they stroll into Dr Garth Fisher’s office to get the procedures done. To them this is Kind of like grocery shopping on a Tuesday.

If you are doing everything right but still need a little more help here are some tips on where to start in the cosmetic surgery process. The first question you should ask yourself is, why? Are you seeking plastic surgery to feel better for you or for someone else. Don’t go under the knife or needle unless it is your choice and you’re only doing it to boost your confidence that much more.

Once you make the choice decide which procedure is best for you. Have you always wanted bigger breasts? Do you feel like your wrinkles are getting deeper? Or maybe your lips have always bothered you. Take time to choose which procedure is best for you and your needs.

Consider your budget. If you are living paycheck to paycheck now may not be the best time to have a full-blown mommy makeover. Choose one or two things that won’t break the bank. Start small and keep it simple with Botox or filler.

If you wanted new breasts, expect to spend $7000, a facelift- $13000, and liposuction about 6500.  Most doctors have installment plans, as that’s how they suck us in. Thats why many abide by doing the smaller procedures.  Botox can be anywhere from 300-800 dollars depending on how many units you inject.  Fillers being a little more expensive but a great temporary solution, especially if you’re jumping back into the dating pools of Tinder, bumble or match.com.

Next find a doctor who is an expert in the procedure you are looking for. Now is not the time to find a cheap option. Do your research and go to multiple consultations until you feel confident in your provider.

Understand recovery time. If you are undergoing surgery, you may have weeks of recovery time. Fillers and Botox can also leave you bruised so be sure you don’t have these procedures done right before a big event.

Also look at before and after photos, come with examples of what you would like and be sure to be specific.  Don’t be on the next episode of Botched, that is not your goal.

We think you are beautiful no matter what. But a little nip tuck, filler and Botox here and there never hurt anyone. DO what makes you feel good and love yourself.
